The person behind Sól
Hey, I’m Gosia – and this is Sól.
It all began with a cold plunge on a bright January morning. I was in a hard season of life, and that first icy shock didn’t just wake me up—it brought me back into my body and into the present.
As I kept returning to nature - the sea, the quiet embrace of trees, grass, and open sky - I found myself again. And I found people who reminded me of what matters most: connection, presence, shared moments of being truly alive. Doing what brings you joy. That’s when the quiet dream of creating my own sauna space began, even though I had no idea where to start.
Life unravelled in ways I didn’t expect - divorce, becoming a single parent, loneliness, burnout, illness, redundancy. Each one stripped something away and pushed me to act. Tending the fire, creating warmth, offering space, and helping people feel human felt like returning to something I already knew.
That’s how Sól came to be. The name is a nod to my Polish roots, where 'sól' means salt — something grounding, elemental, and deeply tied to water, ritual, and restoration.
It feels like the right place to begin a new chapter. Community space, like-minded people, nervous system repair and a big exhale.

What we offer
We root ourselves in Slavic traditions — pouring herbal teas, using green plants and oils, welcoming song, breath, and heat as grounding rituals. These simple practices keep us connected to nature, to each other, and to the quiet joy of being human.
Sól is also a space for creativity and connection. Shaped by the local community, we host creative sessions, guided breathwork, rituals, and occasional workshops that celebrate wellness and togetherness. There’s a small library of books to browse, and an open door for thoughtful collaborations with local businesses.
Because warmth and belonging should be for everyone, our Open Doors programme offers low-cost sessions through social prescribing and community partnerships.
Sól is a place to connect, to create, and to simply be.
Everyone is welcome.
